Estee Lauder Nutritious

A Skincare Range for the mid-20s
I am a staunch supporter of the brand’s Advanced Night Repair serum — no questions asked. It’s no secret that I’m a serum freak even though burning money on skincare is not one I advocate. But if it means not having to burn much more on reparative treatments when I reach my 40s+, I’d call it a happy investment (anyone else use the same excuse reasoning? Haha!). However, for those who are still in their mid-20s (myself included!) who aren’t too keen on slathering on harsh anti-aging chemicals on their skin yet, Estee Lauder created this range just for you.
It was specially concocted for us Asians as the range targets brightening dull, sallow skin (reportedly the continent’s major skincare concern). The main ingredients in this range include pomegranate fruit and pink peony extract. A fruit and a flower… interesting.
For its launch, Estee Lauder treated us to a luxurious but “healthy” lunch at the Japanese Nobu Restaurant at Nobu Hotel. The place had a beautiful table setting filled with fresh peonies and an assortment of fruits including the range’s main ingredient, pomegranate. Quite impressed since pomegranate isn’t easily accessible in the country plus it’s not in season as well so I like that they really sourced it out just for the launch.
After the filling, delectable lunch, we were treated to a one-hour detox massage in Nobu Spa. Guys, let me just share – I never fall asleep during massages, I like feeling those pesky knots in my back being pushed out – way too much to fall asleep. I live for it! But the Nobu Spa masseuse assigned to me that day was so frikkin’ good that every stroke satisfied the kill-those-damn-knots hunter in me . Towards the end of it – when she was about to start on my Nutritious facial (as per masseuse) – I didn’t even realize I had already fallen asleep. Thinking about the massage now makes me want to go back next month.

It was an intimate lunch at Nobu Restaurant for that day – just 4 of us bloggers and 4 from the traditional media.

This Black Cod dish was THE BOMB. I’m not surprised it was one of Robert de Niro’s favorites in the restaurant. Filled with flavor and the tenderness was just right – ahhhh, I’m salivating just thinking about it.
I’m a huge sushi eater – these were just okay. Nothing too special.
One of my favorites from the lunch – the prawn salad on the left. I know right, apart from the Black Cod, I pick the salad. But yes, it was so flavorful that I even proclaimed if I could live off on veggies (and prawn LOL), I would pick this meal to eat everyday.
By this time I was just so full that I only ate the dragonfruit in this fruit platter.

This was a couple’s room so it had two beds in it – definitely taking Enzo here when he gets back! He would love the massage, I’m sure.
The Estee Lauder Nutritious line to used for the facial after the massage
ONE OF THE BEST MASSAGES EVER. And I’m not even kidding. I didn’t expect to be extremely impressed by the spa, to be honest I was like, “I’m sure it’ll feel just like any other (cheaper) massages I’ve gotten”. Wrong.
My face after the facial. Completely bare-faced with no makeup on! Light was too direct and bright but I promise, I was just as glowy sans the harsh light ‘filter’.
Get it
I’ll be reviewing two products from this range soon. If I were to get one product from the range, no doubt, I would grab the Nutritious Rosy Prism Radiant Essence – which is the serum so it’s the most packed with all the actives and antioxidants of the range. However, I discovered another product I think I’ll start an obsession with – the Radiant Vitality 2-Step Treatment which is a clay mask and a gel mask in one tub. The clay mask removes impurities and detoxifies the skin – which you rinse off after 5 minutes – and the gel mask infuses moisture and hydration back into it (packed with the pomegranate nectar extract) – which you let your skin absorb and drink up.

4 steps lang? I’m really interested in this but I want more steps, hahaha! You have dry skin, too, right? Did it get rid of flakes?

Don’t let the smell put you off because the Rosy Prism Gel Moisturizer is the best! It erased my dehydration and lessened my acne after just a few weeks of using it! I have combination-sensitive skin and this is just amazing for it.
