The Travel Stuff

It has to be said that in my vocabulary, packing light does not exist. I brought a ton (almost literally, hah) of makeup with me to my trip to Cebu last Christmas that I didn’t include here anymore because it’d take longer to photograph and you guys must know I’m the laziest blogger in town (if you didn’t, now you do!). Anyway, my mom and dad’s silver anniversary celebration was happening as well so I made sure to bring “full makeup” products with me aside from daily-use ones. In this entry, I rounded up the most reached-for during my 1-week vacation. Again, I gush over the Lorac Pro Palette, which is definitely the most versatile, as well as the most travel-friendly among the ‘long’ palettes I own. I also reached for the Tom Ford Spanish Pink lipstick more times than I imagined I would because it’s so easy to apply and it brightens up my face instantly, too (in a non-shocking way). It’s also moisturizing on my lips (surprisingly!!!) which made it an instant companion everywhere (see my love for it in the photos). The Tom Ford She Wolf trio was my go-to night look, as well as my parents’ silver anniversary eye look. It stayed put with just an ever-so-slight fading from 1PM to 3AM you guysss! Even amidst sweat and tears, in between toasts and beer pongs, the She Wolf was a-howlin’. 3B I also used the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer daily, dusting it with a bit of the Guerlain Meteorites Teint Rose (mini version depotted to another container) and it gives me a super awake, as-if-I’m-airbrushed finish. I do favor my ZA Cosmetics concealer a tiny bit more than the NARS one, though, because the latter cakes on me (huhu I really like the coverage though). Other items include the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette that I used as often as I could and guess what guys? I think I love it now!! Except for the question my husband threw at me when I dusted my face with Dim Light one time… “Did you wear blush all over your face? You look… red.” NOOOOO. I think the pink undertones show up on me when I wear a little too much of it. I am loving Incandescent and Radiant a lot, though! 4 As for the only blush I used all throughout my stay, say hello to Chanel Rose Initiale . I brought another one but it was a bit too bright for my taste (Ultra Rose). The Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Mascara also made a few appearances being one of the mascaras that don’t weigh down my lashes. The Stila All Day Waterproof Eyeliner rang true to its name not budging one bit for a whole day of island hopping despite the salt in the air and in my eyes. Last but not the least, I’m finishing off the tiny bit left of my Dior Lip Glow as it’s one of the more moisturizing formulas that last the whole day on me even when it has been wiped off already. That’s it for my travel slash holiday edition of What’s in my Makeup Bag. What’s in yours?

Tom Ford Spanish Pink is my fave too! So easy to wear and goes nicely with pretty much any makeup look. I don’t own a single Chanel blush and I don’t know if I want to start, haha! Have a feeling it will become an addiction! 😀

Are you using Incandescent and Radiant as highlight/contour shades? I’m so lusting after the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette ever since I saw it on your blog haha. It’s almost a good thing that it’s not available for me to purchase otherwise my wallet would be that much lighter…
