I’ve been lurking about the Nordstrom
website for weeks now ever since their Anniversary Sale started. I can not stop going through their Beauty Exclusives
— MAC ‘Illustrated’ palettes, Chanel mini brush set, Laura Mercier essentials set, Guerlain radiance essentials kit and many more. A lot more, actually, that it took all the self-discipline and control I could ever exhibit to refrain from adding every single item to my shopping basket (and of course, the limited funds also comes into play!).
item that did not make me sleep through the night properly though is this beauty from NARS
their Voulez Vous
(Cocher Avec Moi, Ce Soir) palette. It contains 2 blushes that I don’t own yet, Deep Throat and Dolce Vita as well as 4 new eyeshadow shades that are completely exclusive to this palette only. And as of speaking, this baby is currently on its way to its momma
(thank goodness for GCASH-AMEX
I also ordered two other products not available here in the Philippines! Wanna know what they are?
Oops, nail polish again! I’ve been looking for Chanel Graphite all over Manila (Rustan’s and online shops) to no avail. Luckily, while browsing the Nordstrom sale, I chanced upon it and saw that it’s no longer available anywhere else but Nordstrom online (and no I am not affiliated with Nordstrom!). Add to basket.
The other polish is not available here in Manila too as YSL currently doesn’t carry the brand. Been meaning to try the YSL formula since I’ve crossed the luxury polish bridge so again, add to basket.
This beauty bliss didn’t come easily, though because Nordstrom doesn’t ship cosmetics directly to the Philippines (I’m not sure about other non-cosmetic items). It was then I remembered that I signed up for the GCASH-American Express Virtual Pay system a year ago but never got to try it out for myself.
In a nutshell, GCASH-Amex is like being granted a house in the US and an American credit/debit card to match so you can shop till you drop as if you’re in American soil. Globe has tied up with American Express and My Shopping Box to help avid online shoppers like myself access to online retailers such as Sephora, Nordstrom, Saks, Chanel and the myriad of other online shopping meccas without the hassle plus heavy shipping fees and taxes usually charged to Filipino shoppers.
For a step-by-step tutorial on using Virtual Pay, I whipped up this little infographic to help you :
So there, I just want to share to my fellow Filipino online shoppers this new discovery I found — signing up for this is pretty easy and really quick as seen above so if you’re interested to try this out like I did —
