I’ve Got the Butter on Lush Lemony Flutter

I have been on the hunt for the best hand cream for my very intensely dry bits and cuticles! I’ve read reviews regarding different products and nothing convinced me as the love and praise that everyone had for Lush Lemony Flutter. With this in mind, I ventured into a Lush store (for the first time as usually I couldn’t stand the smell emanating from Lush stores!) and asked for this HG cuticle cream and alas, it’s always SOLD OUT! I think I’ve been to 4 branches and they’re always out of this product so it was only until 2 weeks ago that I had a stroke of luck and was able to find one.

The store had no tester so I had no idea how it looked or felt or smelled prior to purchase. I just had to open it as soon as I stepped out of the store and the first thing that struck me was the strong scent! I didn’t perceive it as a lemon citrusy scent but that of ginger — and I absolutely despise anything gingery. Don’t get me wrong, I have read that most people don’t like its scent being citrusy and lemony, but I was absolutely in horror it registered to me as gingery! But of course, I couldn’t dismiss it right away as I absolutely needed a solution for my cuticles and other dry areas.

The texture is very thick, creamy and a bit waxy — goes on very oily and particularly greasy but fades in about 5 minutes, 10 minutes tops. I apply it on my hands, toes, heels and dry areas of my soles massaging it for a bit before finally letting it just be absorbed by the skin. The smell also dies down a bit as the cream dries out and becomes fully absorbed, though it still leaves that faint lemony ginger smell.

What can I say? This stuff is absolutely amazing. In just one night, my dry cuticles are softer and those stubborn peeling bits are nowhere to be seen. My husband also used this on the extremely dry areas of his feet and even he is amazed at how effective this cream was as he already experimented with different types of lotions and ‘magic’ creams for this problem. We’ve been using this religiously for two weeks now and we absolutely love the wonders it has done to my hand and toe cuticles, elbows, knees and his dry feet. I would definitely have to suck it up regarding the scent because its results tremendously outweigh that one particular downside.

For Php 425 a tub, it will last you a lifetime! Will definitely repurchase

This is on my Christmas list! It looks absolutely gorgeous (and the name makes me want to eat it…is that weird?!) It’s a shame you didn’t like the smell, I quite like citrus and ginger so I hope I’ll like it 😀

I have never seen or heard of this LUSH product before, so I’m guessing it is always sold out. I’m not a fan of ginger either, but I’m still tempted to give this product a try for my dry bits.

Never really a fan of heavy creams as they can make your skin feels greasy. But upon reading your blog, I’m convinced I should give it a try. Sounds very effective tool too in dry skin problems. 🙂
