Confession: I Skip Breakfast

Break the Fast

It’s true. I’m used to skipping breakfast in the morning because it’s the only time I have for myself – when Tristan is still asleep and Selene is away in school. Those precious 3 hours I can detach from my Mom Brain and put on my Blogger slash Entrepreneur Brain. I squeeze as much blog work and client-servicing work we have during this period. Sometimes, just answering emails takes an hour. These are the fastest 3 hours of my life, I tell you.
Once I’ve dropped Selene off, I grab my coffee which I’ve prepared before leaving for Selene’s school and start working on my home office desk. No shower, no breakfast, sometimes most times I’m just in my jammies. If I have an early work meeting or event, I usually just have coffee then hop in the shower, do my makeup, dress up and run out of the house to catch my Uber. I can’t remember the last time I left the house during the mornings where I’m relaxed, calm and cool. Just earlier today, I was still catching my breath after I got in my Uber while telling Kuya where I was heading (because his internet on the phone was down).
That is until my friends (Hello Tats & Sarah!) told me about this breakfast biscuit which I also happened to attend the launch of.

Belvita

As Filipinos, we love our breakfast meals. But those meals – like tapsilog – usually take time to prepare as compared to traditional European or American breakfasts (toast, cereal, etc.) that are light, easy to prepare and on-the-go. Personally, I would cook for my children but I would skip my own breakfast because I’ve also been accustomed to eating light in the morning. Now, I’m pretty happy to discover a breakfast biscuit that I can pair with my morning coffee that will offer the same lightness, zero prep-time but with more nutrients than not eating anything at all.
Belvita is a breakfast biscuit filled with nutritious, sustained energy and 18-20 g of whole grain, fiber, and B vitamins. They are made with whole grain cereals, which include whole wheat and oat, and are fortified with vitamins and minerals such s Vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, D, calcium, iron and zinc. And with more than 15 years of research, belVita is also baked using a special gentle baking process, which helps to preserve the nutritional quality of their cereal ingredients. I’m officially in love with these cookies, you guys.
