So no more long essays on what I plan to do this year blogging-wise because I end up not following through any of them, mga beshies. How about I just do it instead of just reflecting on it, right? So for my first back-to-old-school-type-blog-post, here’s a random mundane delivery day to Retail Lab Powerplant Mall, where we consign our Rory & Sloan earrings, together with Selene and my sister.
I also changed my layout, friends! What do you think? Same blog post layout – just refined the homepage a bit. Nothing like kickstarting the year (and my renewed blogging spirit!) with a fresh new theme. I still want a major overhaul soon but am still searching for the web developer who gets my vision (and within my budget!). Let me know via email if you can help me!
This little girl insisted on coming along even if I wanted her to stay home so she could rest and study while I run errands. We’re leaving next week for her birthday trip so I didn’t want her to catch any illness or fall ill because she’s always out and about with me. But wala, she really wanted to tag along and help out in deliveries. Though I like taking her with me ‘cos it teaches her the value of work – that we don’t just grow money in our backyard and she understands why I say ‘no‘ to her if she asks me to buy something.
Receipts, receipts for the month-end tax deductions.
Our shoes for the day. She’s wearing a ballet flats pair from Zara and I’m wearing my trusty CMG mules.
Always the eager beaver – she wants to know what the receipts inside the envelope are for. So paano ko ieexplain?
Our second home has been Powerplant Mall. There was a week we were here for 5 days straight. Wheew.
Our Uber driver for the day. Uber over driving because the parking is such a hassle. There was one time I was looking for parking for almost 30minutes! Hirap lang sa Uber it’s been so hard to book a ride the past month.
Our little intern and her self-chosen outfit of the day.
Still Christmas at Powerplant Mall. Because how can they take down this extra Christmas tree in the middle of the mall?!
“Mom, I know where we’re going – Retail Lab, right? I know where it is!”
Yup, this is us in the middle of the mall because she wanted me to fix her pigtails. “No bumps, mom ha?”
Ran to her Tita Raiz after I fixed her pigtails. “Hey Selene, we’re kind of matching. Look! We can do the twin emoji. Come!”
“Mom, Tita Raiz wants us to do the pose where we put our legs up but my panty will be kita (shown).”
Does it anyway (but not without lecturing her Tita about their panties hahaha).
The new Retail Lab at the renovated Powerplant Mall! Have you visited na, friends?
Checking our stocks and asking Joanna, our saleslady, which ones we’ve sold out on. Only a few left of our balls collection!
“Mom, I’ll just sit there and wait while you do your Rory & Sloan.. If you’re gonna cut something, can I be the one to do it?”
So proud of this little one for being patient. I think tagging her along to errands such as this ever since she was younger paid off. She knows how to sit and wait.
“Mom, let’s run! Faster, let’s run away from Tita Raiz so she won’t find us!”
I don’t know how I ended up here. – Me all the time when we’re in malls *sigh*
Trying to look for a light coat I can use for our trips this coming months. Buuut, the kuripot in me prevailed. “When will you use it? 2-3 times this year? Wag na.”
One of our comfort food restaurants forever. Their spinach dip is Selene’s first vegetable dish.
“Do you know that’s spinach, Selene?”
“What does spinach look like, Mom?”
Always on the phone.
Treating ourselves because we have a loooot of work to finish that day.
Thankful for Selene being independent so I get to eat my meal na warm pa! Hahaha. #TheSmallThings
Her reward for being a patient little girl.
“Mom when I’m 8 years old na, can you buy me this tent?”
Need to frikkin’ buy a powerbank na because I always lose battery when it’s time to book a ride going home.
Hope you enjoyed this little photo blog slash diary of our day. I hope to do more of these this year because 1. vlogging is just not for me. I’m still dyahe to talk to the camera when in public and I’m just not eloquent, hahaha. Salute to the vloggers talaga! Plus the editing is meticulous especially since my laptop is so slow na. 2. I want to look back on days like these in the future. The kids are growing up so fast and my memory is just not as sharp anymore. Hope to also hear more from you guys through the comments here. I miss the old-school discussion on comments! I remember really getting to know old readers before through it. So yes, here’s to blogging even if it’s proclaimed dead by the social media world.
