Power

First off, can I just say how extremely honored I am to be chosen as one of Kiehl’s Power Women? Power Woman. WOW. Honestly, I didn’t think I was worthy of being called one because I really don’t know what I’ve done to deserve such a loaded title. But then, I got to thinking… we are all power women.
From working moms who sacrifice time with their kids to be able to provide for them to stay-at-home moms who are tireless in their pursuit of raising and taking care of their children to those who aren’t moms and are working or studying (or both!) and persevering to achieve their goals. We are all working towards something, no matter where those paths may lead. Remember, we are all powerful, ladies. Even if we don’t feel it sometimes. Just know that in your darkest and loneliest, you can still choose to be powerful. You can choose to rise above. How timely is it that Wonder Woman has also just been released – the ultimate Power Woman.
I may not have the super powers and demi-god features Gal Gadot has but I’ve some pretty powerful skincare secrets I was able to share to my readers and friends who attended my Power Woman talk. From how I balance my time between my kids and work (I honestly am still struggling to find the balance since it’s back to square one learning how to do it with two kids now) to how I’ve pared down my skincare and beauty routine especially these days where I’m quite the busy bee.

After the talk, we had skincare consultations with the Kiehl’s experts to determine what our skin type is.

Diz be me smiling but nervous before my talk. I have stage fright, guys. No matter how small the audience, I still get anxious about public speaking. Thanks to those who came, listened and powered through!! You know who you are – love ya guys! See yourselves below.

Depending on the skin type, attendees got to bathe their skin in Kiehl’s products as well as take some products home for trial. Those samples really do you in, guys. I started my Kiehl’s journey with the Ultra Facial line but because I was given a sample of the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, I went back for it after I saw the results just by using the sample. HUHU. Low EQ.

Kiehl’s has four power serums for different kinds of power women. I’ll let you know more about it in another post as well as my personal thoughts on the serums as I’ve been road-testing them for quite some time now!

One of the readers and followers of The Misty Mom for years now – Monica! I’m so excited to meet her as we only ever chat on IG comments and blog comments. Thanks for coming, dear and so nice to meet you!

Hello, Sarah my love!!! I hope you’re using sunscreen every day na. Kidding! Hihi. This is my best friend who’s on a skincare craze lately. She’s the next skincare blogger, friends!! Watch out. Haha!

Meg!!! I love this sunshine girl. She has been to almost every talk I’ve done. I want to cry huhu. Thank you for the support, babe. Love how the internet and beauty addiction made our paths cross! I still owe you a loyalty package *wink*

Bride-to-be Joy asking us on tips for a glowing bride. My tip: bathe in Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate months before the wedding. Actually, she’s so glowing na so she doesn’t need much!

My ever supportive friends who I want to share my skincare obsession with – thankfully they’re super game naman! Diba there’s a saying, “Friends who obsess over skincare together are friends forever”. Ay, wala ba?

When I announced my Kiehl’s talk, these ladies were the first ones to sign up! EXCITED MUCH? Thanks for the support, guys!!

We are all Power Women

Thank you again to Kiehl’s for tapping me to be a part of this and for letting me share my skincare, motherhood and beauty experiences to my readers and friends. Of course, thank you to everyone who’s here in this photo for coming out and making chika with me that day. I hope to meet you guys again soon!
