Alaska Mission Camp
…. empowering kids to be who they want to be!
I’ve encouraged and engaged Selene in pretend play ever since she was a baby. Not only did it allow her to open her mind to different ways of thinking, it also molded her to be one very imaginative and creative kid. You can see more of that “creativity” in the vlog below where she has conjured up her own version of Elsa!
So this is why we are extremely excited to participate in the Alaska Ultimate Mission Camp which is a fun outdoor activity for the whole family. Kids can choose their own Disney mission – either as a Marvel Superhero or a Frozen princess. The mission will be engaging, fun and educational activities that kids like Selene will surely enjoy. There will also be activities for parents that are equally as fun and educational (woot! excited to find out what these are!! Mas excited yata ako, guys?!).
When I asked Selene who she wanted to be – I sort of expected that she’ll choose to be a Marvel superhero as she has been going with superheroes over princesses in the past two Halloweens. Surprise, surprise! She wanted to be Queen Elsa of Frozen for this Mission Camp instead. We’ve watched the movie more than 10 times already – and contributed to probably x thousand views of the Frozen song videos on Youtube. Ha ha! So off I went to hunt for a Frozen dress for her – which was quite a fail because I think all the Frozen dresses have all been sold for the Halloween.
I told Selene about this and asked her if she’d consider being a superhero instead. To which she replied, “Mom, I can wear my favorite white dress and pretend it’s Elsa’s blue dress instead! Diba we can pretend naman? Imagine na lang it’s Elsa’s dress.” And that, my friends, is the story of this white and purple “Elsa” gown.
I won’t babble on too much about this because we have a VLOG below! YES A VLOG, FRIENDS! Minsan lang yan! Do watch our short video slash Q&A at the end of this post to see the not-so-little Elsa girl in action and listen to her own version of Frozen (very environment-friendly! Selene is a lover of Mother Nature!).
Also, we are officially inviting you to the Alaska Ultimate Mission Camp will be on November 20 at SMX 4 Mall of Asia and it is open to the public with free admission! Yes friends, this serves as YOUR invitation. I hope to see you and your family there! It’ll definitely be a fun and exciting event that your kids will love and will never forget.
