My Second MAC Halloween
Jem and the Holograms Style
I usually don’t dress up for Halloween – unlike some folks who go all out, even as far as planning their Halloween costumes a year prior to have them made, etc. Last 2014, I was invited by MAC for a Halloween tie-up should I need any help in my costume and makeup look. My husband and I’s prior plan for the night then was to do a series marathon with a bag of microwaveable popcorn and Cheetos Flaming Hot (dipped in cream cheese).
However, being prompted by a friend’s invite to go out had me saying “yes” to MAC. At their SM aura counter, my husband and I were transformed to The Hulk and Gamora that hallow’s evening. 2015 Halloween comes and straight back to MAC I went – this year around, I opted for something easier to remove at the end of the night (acrylic paint on the body was so hard to remove, we took about three showers that evening). I especially love that their affiliate pro makeup artists are armed and ready with their chromacakes and other MAC Pro makeup for whatever Halloween pegs we may come up with.
We were also invited by HOOQ Philippines to celebrate the night as they launched their new series, Ash vs. The Evil Dead. Together with my good friends, Alexys and Sam, we went as Gem and the Holograms. We were mistaken for My Little Pony (LOL!), KISS – and I don’t remember which other hilarious characters. Generational gap, much? People have forgotten/don’t know Gem and the Holograms anymore!
This is just ONE of makeup artist, Apple Faraon’s, pouches! Every eyeliner in every shade of brown and black and nude possible. WOW.
The MAC Chromacake is a solid color cake activated with water. It’s highly pigmented with an opaque matte finish but sheers down easily. Used for body and face painting!
Sneak peek of my Gem star. Eeeek, exciting!
The Chromacake comes in different colors and I saw the other pro artists mixing colors to produce another shade.
Possibly all the best MAC colors smushed in one lip palette! I. AM. DROOLING. AS. I. LOOK. AT. THIS.
The Finished Look
She used the MAC Up the Amp lipstick (which made me want to get it that instant!). Guys, I super loved my makeup can I just say. My brows, my base, my eyes! BAM.
My other Holograms, Sam – and Alexys, not in photo – also got their makeup done at MAC!
With the Ash vs. Evil Dead crawlers
With the other influencers and bloggers David Guison, Vina Guerrero, Katt Valdez, Chin Obcena, Janeeena Chan, Nikita Conwi, et al.
After 7 hours, our makeup looks were still on point – the Chromacake and other MAC products held up well against the humidity in Pool Club.
Thank you MAC for another unforgettable MAC Halloween look!
