‘Tis the Season!

CHRISTMAS DECOR Shopping at SM HOME
No one can beat the Philippines when it comes to celebrating Christmas. We start as soon as the calendar hits the first -ber month. I used to wonder why. Well, as soon as I became a mom and fell obsessed with house decorating, I finally discovered why. To maximize the worth of your house decors, of course! Ha ha ha! I mean, spending your hard-earned cash for decors and have it up for one month only?! Such a waste! I personally start my decor shopping as early as SM Home starts putting out their Christmas decors. They have such a wide selection at very affordable prices – a box of six hanging snowflakes at Php149 ($4), for example. They also have a beautiful selection of golden decors that are right up my alley – you can check how I went cray with the golden branches on my cart above. I absolutely love using gold as an accent color during the Holidays (actually, even when it’s not). So yes, I dropped by the SM Home section in SM Makati to check out their new designs – guys, there are pretzels and cupcakes (plus other sweets!) in their new collection!

Don’t hate, Decorate!
I love the quirky twist of incorporating candies, pretzels and all kinds of sweets for Christmas decor. I always personally stick to the traditional reds, greens and touches of gold and bronze but seeing the bare branches with the donuts temptingly hanging from them? How clever! I don’t think it’ll last too long in the house, though – knowing that Selene is a huge donut lover! Also, love the colored trees in SM’s selection – the icy blue and the mustard colored trees caught my attention! Good thing my interior designer sister was with me when I went shopping to cut down on choices and help me put together options, else I would have just picked out everything and God knows how I’ll put them all together!

Nothing like GOOOOLD and bronze to put me in an instant festive mood!

Be sure to check out the decors even under their giant Christmas trees, there are gems to be found in there!

These golden leaves would look great arranged in a vase or as fillers in your Christmas trees! I personally wanted it for flatlay purposes. Ha ha!

SM Home
Drop by any SM Home department and check out these beautiful decors for your home. I tell you, you need not spend a fortune on them. The decors I picked out are all reasonably priced and can be reused years from now (just pack them properly at the end of the season!). I’ve also picked out items I can use for my Insta-game, ha ha! Double duty decors! If you wanna see more of their selections right now, you can check out their beautifully-designed website at www.smhome.com.ph and follow their social media accounts below:

It’s too hot here for me to think about Christmas, haha (but I’m sure it’s hotter in the Philippines). My family used to go all out for Christmas but since we spend it at my aunt’s house now, we don’t really bother decorating much anymore. I’ll probably get a small tree for the coffee table though XD

Love your look of wonder in the first two pics! Haha. We do a lot of Christmas décor shopping at SM, but we tend to do it a little at a time. If something looks interesting, we’ll throw that in with the décor we’ve had since the 90’s :)) The trees in the department stores look spectacular. I am always tempted to take a million photos of them.
