Discover Origins

Powered by Nature. Proven by Science.
I was too excited when I heard Origins was launching in the Philippines not knowing it was in fact making a huge comeback (as the brand was already in the country 10 years ago but pulled out). But with the increasing demand for naturally-derived skincare products in the country, it’s but the perfect timing for the brand to reintroduce its sustainable, plant-derived skin and body care range that have won over women globally, especially in the US and in the UK. The brand has a long-term commitment to being green – they purchase wind power to offset their electricity and to fuel their standalone stores and have planted 1.25 million trees since they’ve tied up with Global ReLeaf. During this event, as a press gift, they’ve even committed to planting trees in each of the guests’ names!

Product Range
The skincare products are all developed under Dr. Lieve DeClercq, who heads the Origins global plant science team and has a PhD in Plant Physiology. The active plants, natural essential oils and certified organic ingredients used in their formulas are extensively researched and clinically proven for efficacy by an international team of over 100 (!!) scientists. They’re sourced from all over the globe and I’ve never even heard about most of them such as free-radical neutralizing Silver-needle White Tea from the mist-covered hills of Fujian in China, skin-firming Rhodiola rosea in the remote mountains of Siberia, mysterious “resurrection” plant, The Rose of Jericho, in the driest deserts of North Africa (check this plant out in action below!! AMAZING).
Was I in theme or what? Ha ha!
Mel Lerma, Country Manager of Estee Lauder Philippines, welcomes the guests
Jill Baysa, former Bobbi Brown brand manager, is now Origins Philippines brand manager
Jean Alexandre Harvard, VP & International General Manager for Origins

This is the miraculous resurrecting Rose of Jericho, which starts out looking like a dried out piece of tumbleweed you wouldn’t even look at but add water to it and look what becomes of it after a few hours. Check out the photo below!

Congratulations to the Origins team for the successful launch! We hope this time around, Origins will be here to stay. They’ll be opening their first boutique on August at SM Makati. To those who’ve been using Origins and have to get them abroad (HK, the nearest!), aren’t you glad you don’t need to hoard these when you’re out of the country?! To those who’ve been using Origins since it was here, which products are you patrons of? If you haven’t tried the brand yet, which are you keen on trying? Let me know!

I’m excited for this. When it was still here last time, I wasn’t into thise scents. Ginger, in particular. Now I’m looking forward to it.

I am still using A Perfect World White Tea moisturizer – now as my daytime moisturizer because I got one with SPF. I started using it as my night time moisturizer 7 years ago – I really love the scent! I have also used their Ginzing eye cream and face moisturizer. Ginzing line smells like oranges! I love it. 😀

Looks like a beautiful event! I haven’t really used much of the Origins range, but the mega mushroom range has been on my radar for a while x
