One big WHEEEEW! My hectic no-time-for-even-looking-in-the-mirror month is over. I can’t believe I’m able to open my WordPress dashboard after so long and just.. what do you call this thing again – oh yes, blog. The shoe brand launch was a huge success! One of my biggest takeaways is that there are still extremely kind-hearted people left in the world! And I met and collaborated with some of them while working on Menina’s launch. I mean, who agrees to supply personalized press bags 3 days prior to the launch? As well as beautiful tulips for display a day before the event?? So crazy but so thankful for these people! I’ll pour my heart out on another entry but in the meantime, I’ll go straight to some beauty products I’ve been playing with during the past weeks I’ve been busy.
Inglot Freedom Eyeshadow Palette. I’m so late in the Inglot Freedom palette parade but I’ve been wearing these two beautiful matte shades almost daily! Mattes are very tricky and I’ve heard not-so-good feedback about Inglot eyeshadows, but for some reason, these two shades I picked (a creamy pink and a dark plum) are pretty solid workhorses. They’re not as smooth or creamy but they are pigmented enough to not need primer and they blend easily without being stiff at all. For quick need-to-get-outta-here eyes, I’ve been lugging this palette along all the time + my MAC 217 brush.
Clinique Sculptionary Cheek Palette. Yes ladies, you can contour with blush! No need for a brown/taupe contour powder to get those cheekbones to show. The new Clinique cheek palette has three shades that which you can use accordingly to contour, highlight and blush. I used all three in the #FOTD below. Subtle contouring win.
Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick in Infamous. OH YES. I’ve been waiting for this range to launch ever since I’ve tried the Pure Color Envy Shine. This is ultra pigmented in one go but stays put without moving as much (compared to the Shine version). I’ll review these babies soon – I’ve one more in a pinky nude shade, too! They’ve made me fall in love with lipstick all over again.
Eye of Horus Dual Brow Perfect. This eyebrow pencil + brow gel product is slightly reminiscent of the Pixi Brow Duo. Except this Eye of Horus pencil is much more pigmented. I like my pencils barely there so I can build up to the intensity that I want – but when I’m in a hurry, I like pigmented pencils such as this one where I line the upper and lower borders of my brows and just blend it out with a spoolie to fill in the middle area. Defined brows in an instant!
K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner. The reformulated version of one of my go-to liquid eyeliners to date! I actually really like the original version already so I was quite hesitant to try the reformulated version in anticipation that I might not like it as much. I found that it applies better than the previous version, more intense in one swipe and doesn’t tug on the lids as much (although it still does a bit!). The longevity factor is the most commendable feature – it didn’t budge nor fade easily despite the heat. I’ll review this in full soon so I’ll stop there.
How was your week, everyone? I’m back to regular blogging programming – hopefully. Have loads of new makeup goodies to share with you soon.
