White A Minute
“White Do You Think You’re Doing, gurl?”
First OOTD for the year! Can you believe I got my husband to take these photos? Win! The whole thing lasted probably less than 5 minutes because “well, you’re not moving so why would I take more shots?“. I swear, how do style bloggers do it? I tried prancing around but we both end up laughing ‘cos I look like a lunatic and the shots were nowhere near being published on the Internet. Nope. Although I could have been credited as discovering a new yoga pose.
Okay, I’ll stop. I do love an all-white outfit. It makes me look… clean? Like I took a shower and smell quite nice but really, it’s just dry shampoo and dousing myself with half a bottle of perfume. Although wearing all white means I can’t eat siomai (pork dumplings) like how I usually do because I will get soy sauce all over my shirt or shorts no matter how carefully I try not to. Oh and I also tried the not-entirely-tucked technique with my shirt but it turned out… kinda sloppy. It looked as if I didn’t know what to do with my shirt! Hah! Oh well!

In collaboration with Avenue 32*
Avenue 32* caters to those who value quality over price so most brands are high-end a.k.a way above the budget I usually spend on any piece of clothing. That doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate ridiculously expensive clothes from afar (like very remote Castaway far) — the ultra-luxe fabrics, the quality worksmanship and the intricate details that go into each piece. Except of course if it’s a $90 wifebeater tank top which could probably be able to cook pancakes as well, right?
I realized most items I came close to actually considering on buying are from the brand, 3.1 Phillip Lim. The pieces are classic and timeless but aren’t boring nor will make you feel like you just threw away money (even if you just did, really). I also included one from Jill Stuart because just look at that beautiful cutout design. All photos are linked to their pages on Avenue 32 with no affiliate links.
I only have three designer bags I really, really like and would spend on if money weren’t an issue and I weren’t so clumsy with bags a.k.a spilling soy sauce or Selene’s milk all over them. One of them is the Pashli.
Do you see anything that catches your fancy? What do you think of buying designer clothes? Would love to hear your opinions on the matter!
