Another month, another set of products I’ve found myself reaching for more than others. Quite ironic that my go-to look this month was a bold lip (or a neutral one but yah, focal point was them lips) yet I’ve no lip product in this list. It’s ‘cos if I put which ones I loved – this’ll turn into a novella. So yes, keeping those favorite lip products at the moment for another post. On to the non-lip products, then!
Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Liquid Foundation*. I’m quite in love with the formula – a creamy foundation that spreads like velvet and finishes off semi-matte. No dewiness, coverage is medium, a little skin still peeks through. I like that even if my face is quite dry sometimes, it applies smoothly still. Downside is if you apply too much, it can cake and will accentuate lines (just recently
realized admitted to myself I already have a laugh line). See it worn in this FOTD.
Tom Ford Orchid Haze. Resurrected this palette from my stash and I’ve been enjoying using it in big occasions like my grandmother-in-law’s 75th birthday celebration down to running errands (bank, grocery, maybe while cooking too haha). This may officially be my favorite non-brown neutral ever.
Benefit Majorette*. Found myself constantly reaching for this because blush isn’t something I thoroughly plan out to wear these days. I’ve been playing up my lipstick shades these days when I go out that I don’t even bother with eyeshadow and blush so for those times, Majorette is the default choice. Its faint pigmentation isn’t overpowering so it always seems to complement whatever lipstick shade I’m wearing.
Ellis Faas Concealer*. As I type this, I’m feeling major panic because I think I’m running out of this concealer too fast. I’ve been using it every single day and I realized more and more how good it is. The peach tone cancels out my dark circles so I can skip any kind of corrector when wearing this. Plus the coverage itself is medium so for blemishes and undereyes, I’m (literally and figuratively) covered. I be repurchasing this fo sho.
Chanel Le Volume Mascara. What kind of sorcery is this? My lashes seem to love this expensive tube of mascara. This was a random purchase from a Chanel haul months back – and ugh, I hate that I like it. It’s definitely not sustainable. But it volumizes my lashes beautifully – and not in a spider-scaringly way. It doesn’t smudge nor smear even if I rub my eyes accidentally and it’s easy to remove – not as stubborn as other waterproof mascaras. Outrageously priced for a mascara, though. But I love it (UGH, can’t believe I’m saying that).
Chloe EDP. I’ve finished 2/3 of this and I’m sad. I love the floral scent (and this is coming from someone who can’t STAND florals!) – fresh, not overpowering, a dash fruity and overall feminine. I hate describing scents (so frikkin’ hard) so I’ll just leave this at that. Haha!
Heroine Make Liquid Eyeliner (not in photo because it’s in my bag which I left in my husband’s car). Good lord, I think I’ve found a new favorite liquid eyeliner – one I’m sticking to and will repurchase over and over. Heroine Make’s dries to an almost matte finish and does not run or tug on the lids. SWEAR. It applies so frikkin’ evenly – absolutely no tugging! The downside though, is you have to be precise, else you can easily go thicker than you intended. I want to give all my eyeliner-loving friends a tube of this!
