How was your holiday season?

Hi everyone! Hope you had a great Christmas break, gaining a few healthy pounds from all the feasting and celebrating. I actually didn’t expect to be taking a blog break earlier than I had, but since so many things were happening — flying out to Cebu for my parent’s 25th anniversary, family reunions, etc. — you could say I overestimated my ability to multi-task. Not complaining though as it may have been the best week of my life this year filled with lots of family catch-up time, fresh seafood laid in banana leaves, salt-in-the-air sand-in-my-hair moments, Selene’s boisterous laughs as she swam in the ocean for the first time, Enzo’s adventurous ways on how to zipline, stuff like that. Anyhoo, I’m keeping this short and sweet as I prepare my lineup of posts that I’ve got waiting. I have to say, though, I’m not as strict on my no-makeup buy as I was last month, but I actually forgot about everything beauty for a few weeks now. I didn’t expect my no-buy to result into a less-interested-to-buy beauty blogger but I’m so happy it did! I usually fidget and itch until I get my hands on a beauty item I’ve been lemming, but now, I see it, read a review and move on in a snap.  To further my point, I’ve been inside the Rustan’s beauty department at least five times in the past month circling the store like a hyena yet left without anything on hand (even if I had a few Gift Certificates to splurge). I’ll probably be back to my old self soon (drooling over new collections and such), but with wiser makeup consumption habits (crossing my fingers and toes). So that’s it for my not-so-quick updates! Hope you had a great holiday season, everyone. Kisses!

Oooohhh, gift certificates. I remember the last time I had a few those was back when I was still in grade school and of course, I bought nothing but toys. Hahaha. Anyway, nice to know that you had a great vacation. Happy holidays, Shari! 🙂 xx

Beautiful picture of you, Shari! I’m so glad you had a restful and enriching trip! The part about your daughter swimming in the ocean for the first time made me smile; what a sweet memory! 🙂

That’s a stunning picture of you, Shari! Great composition, perfect lighting, and everything! 😀 I wish I could have some “fresh seafood laid in banana leaves” too but I guess that ain’t gonna happen where I live! Haha.

I know I’m a little late, but Happy Holidays to you, too!
