I’m really pleased that Selene is already at the stage where I can bring her around with me when I have to run a quick errand or two. This particular errand day involved going to the bank, visiting my derma and picking up furniture swatches with my sister for something I’m having designed. Before we tackled all that, we had a quick stroll slash lunch around the Ayala Triangle area.
I don’t really look like this when running errands, especially when I’m just going to my derma! Hah. But because my sister decided to take photos, I swiped on my MAC Viva Glam I to look at least a little bit polished. Behind that and my pair of shades, I’m completely make-up free.
When I put on the lipstick, she couldn’t stop staring. I wonder what was going through her head during this time. Do you like red on Mommy, baby girl?
On the way to lunch, this little bug-a-boo saw the rocking chairs lined up and started getting ecstatic, swinging her legs energetically and making hyperactive noises.
Selene and her insane attraction to things that are not toys. I surround her with her teethers, animal friends and stuffed toys… guess what she picks up? The straw, of course. Someone got more ecstatic when she saw the food! If it’s not obvious already, this not-so-little one is a no-frills eater. She’ll devour anything! Of course, I don’t let her eat junk food. I also don’t let her eat canned baby food (or those in jars). As much as possible, what we eat during meal times is what she also eats along with us. I don’t want her to be a picky eater.
After eating lunch, we had a little walking exercise to strengthen her legs, preparing her for when she’s ready to walk. She can stand by herself now, with a little wobble here and there. I’m in no rush whatsoever to let her walk, anyway. We’ll get there and there’s no turning back!! LOL.
Oh and this little cutie’s OOTD - Gingersnaps top and jeans, Zara Baby shoes and a pretty charm bracelet from our Aunt Thea.
I usually carry her when we walk around but she’s already reached the 20lbs+ mark which is quite a work out for my unfit arms. I don’t know how celebrities photographed by the paps do it with their 3-year-old in one arm and a luggage bag in the other like it’s all in a day’s work, *hair flip*.
So, this is our mode of transportation most of the time. I recently just bought a baby carrier that I’m still getting the hang of using, but it’s very very useful for times she won’t stay put in the stroller.
That’s all for now. Thanks for reading, guys. xx
