I’ve reviewed the first two Chanel creme blushes —Affinite and Revelation — in this post. When the Fall 2013 collection dropped here in the Philippines, I impulsively decided to grab Inspiration together with the nail polishes. I had nothing but glowing reviews for Revelation and Affinite which is why despite my better judgment to hold off on any more blushes, I went and purchased one more to add to my cream blush family.
Inspiration is a cool-toned light pink that’s the lightest shade among the three I now own. Revelation is warm pink rose while Affinite is bright almost-fuschia pink. Inspiration is less pigmented than the first two but buildable. I love Inspiration for the ‘naturally flushed’ look it gives. It’s a shade that most brands probably already have but in my stash, I couldn’t find an exact dupe.I love the cream-to-powder finish of these blushes. They are easy to apply — dab dab, blend blend blend with my fingers, which is my favorite method to use with these. Even if they’re pigmented at first dab, they blend really well without dragging the skin — thanks to the silicones. I haven’t tried YSL or Dior’s cream blushes so I can’t compare but from swatches, I can tell that these have a more matte finish. Correct me if I’m wrong, though. Bottom Line? I love these cream blushes. I am a powder blush girl so I was very hesitant to try these at first. I don’t like sticky, tacky cream blushes that make you look oily even if you’re not. These Chanel blushes are great for the cream-blush-averse because the finish is beautiful, light as air but packed with pigment that’s easy to control and blend. *My skin is peeling from a treatment I used. Sorry about that! Just couldn’t post this cream blush review without a photo seeing how it looks in action.
