I haven't done a favorites post in a while so while baby Selene was sleeping earlier, I took advantage and hauled together my top picks for February. I didn't go out quite a lot this month as I was at home most of the time beside my baby girl. However, for the few times that I did, these were my go-to guys. Light pink lips, rosy red blush, natural brown eyes. No foundation or base, just a blot powder after I apply my concealer (ever-trusty MAC Studio Finish which I didn't include here as it is a year-round favorite!).
✓ MAC lipstick in Angel — Among all the pink lipsticks, I believe this is the best everyday pink. It's light enough that I can get away with wearing the rosy red Tarte blush.
✓ NARS lipgloss in Turkish Delight — MAC Angel and this is said to be one of Kim K's signature look so I decided to try it out. It's a baby pink lip gloss that lightens and sheers out Angel even more, which can be a good thing or a bad thing. For me, it's the former, especially when I wear a more pronounced blush, which I've found a sudden appreciation for. Especially because of my up-all-night vampire lifestyle that leaves me looking lifeless (despite feeling the opposite!).
✓ NYX Lipliner in Rose — Found the perfect shade of lipliner for most of my pinks! I love NYX lip liners as they're much comparable to the high-end ones. Their range of colors is also impressive. I have another one for my reds and have yet to pick up one for my nudes.
✓ Tarte blush in Natural Beauty — a bright pinkish red blush that leaves me with those coveted rosy cheeks that screams "I-just-got-out-of-the-gym-after-a-tough-workout". The color looks scary in pan as it is as bright and Snow-Whitey as it seems but applied onto the cheeks leaves a very natural flush.
✓ MAC Blot Powder —As you can see, I've already hit pan on this baby which is very rare for me. I use this when I don't feel like putting on foundation, BB cream or even a tinted moisturizer. Just concealer and this et voila. It does a great job in controlling oil without having to pile on loads of powder. However, I won't be repurchasing as I want to try the Mineralize Skinfinish Natural one.
✓ Chanel blush brush — I revisited this brush while I gave my Real Techniques babies a rest and saw how very well it picked up powder products and applied smoothly on my cheeks. I've been using synthetic taklon fiber brushes almost every time that I forgot this good one right here.
✓ MAC Powerpoint eyeliner in Stubborn Brown — When I don't want to look too fierce yet still want to define my eyes, this brown liner does the job. I can't say it's my most favorite but as of the moment, it does the job. It does smudge and transfer after a few hours though so I have yet to find a better one.
That's all for my FEBRUARY FAVORITES! What are your favorites this month? And what products above have you tried/been wanting to try?
