Yet another lipstick entry... For those who are getting tired of it, I apologize. But this lipstick accumulation was what kept me busy (and sane!) while waiting for Baby Selene in the last weeks of my pregnancy.
For today's entry, I'll be featuring a shade that has a cult following mainly because it's one of Kim Kardashian's signature lip color — MAC Angel. This plus the NARS Turkish Delight lipgloss (which I will be reviewing soon too!) are her go-to lip products for that Kim K nude lip we see her wear everywhere.
MAC Angel is a soft pink that is very versatile and can be worn by fair, olive and dark-skinned beauties alike. Although on my swatch above it doesn't register as such — it actually is a blue-toned light pink with some micro-shimmers being a MAC Frost finish. It isn't too bright that screams 'look at me' nor too pale that speaks of zombie apocalypse. I actually love the shade for daytime wear as well as for a romantic dinner date.
I find its texture more forgiving than Creme Cup. Although it does have a tendency to stick to dry patches and even to dryness you didn't even know you had, I find it applies smoother and appears healthier on my lips than the Cremesheen finish which is just a nightmare when I have bad lips for the day. Wear time is minimal as it is easily wiped off being a little glossier compared to the other MAC lipsticks.
Final thoughts? One of the lipsticks I will definitely repurchase when I do run out.

ReplyDeleteOhh how I really need to indulge in a MAC lipstick myself, it is just so overpriced in Australia! I quite like Angel in the swatch but on your lips I love both the look of Angel and Creme Cup :)

Kim's signature lip color? Wow. I love Kim's signature look. I actually imitate how she likes keeping her under eye lighter and pairing it with a nice nude lip color. Though I haven't found the perfect lip color to complete the look, I'd love to give this one a try! Thanks for sharing, Shari. :)

Angel is a real classic though I prefer Creme Cup as it suits my skin tone better. They both look amazing on you, girl!
