40 weeks have passed and The Misty Daughter still hasn't shown herself yet! This is a scheduled post so by the time this is published, I'm probably already at the hospital. My doctor said I need to be admitted and induced for labor already. Baby girl (name still to be decided and finalized!) is approximately 7.7 lbs based on ultrasound but Doc said that there is still a wide margin of error for that. Almost 8 freaking lbs — I was stunned! But then again, from all the sweets I've been gorging on day upon day, I shouldn't be surprised!
So this is it... My final thoughts on my first pregnancy? It went by fast and yet slow at the same time. I expected it to be harder and more challenging than it was. Don't get me wrong though, it was very challenging for both my husband and I. We underwent tough times especially when my hormones were at its peak and every single thing would either make me sad or mad. I cried for the simplest reasons — a beggar knocking on our car window made me burst into tears. I even cried for no reason at all. There were also physical pains like backaches, headaches/migraines but I can say that the toughest obstacles were the emotional and psychological ones.
I have to give it to my husband who made everything easier and more than manageable. He made sure to go with me to every single doctor's appointment, no fail. Except for only one time where he needed to meet with our wedding coordinator to fix some plans. He always listens when I feel like ranting, motivates when I'm beginning to feel down, makes me laugh every single time he can. It's his support and encouragement that has gotten me through this. He was also actually the one who persuaded me to start this blog and followed through by buying me the domain, the products I feature and use, everything. Looking back, the challenging times are definitely outweighed by all the eye-opening and life-changing moments we both experienced. Definitely one of the best things to happen in our lives as compared to all other mundane and worldly things we were so into before thinking we were already at our prime.
With that, I end this entry with a THANK YOU to each and every one who has emailed, left a comment, showed support in every little way in both our lives as we went through this journey. To my offline friends who've always been there checking up on us to my newfound online acquaintances who've also extended their kind words and encouragement. I will be back soon, lovers! ☻ Ta-ta!!
