I’ve been out and about recently because I need to walk, walk, walk
! The only exercise I’ve been doing since I got pregnant is all the walking from the malls we frequent. I was supposed to enroll in pre-pregnancy yoga but never pushed through with it. I regret it now more than ever as my back aches have been getting more and more intense lately.
I’m currently reading a book we picked up in Fully Booked called Bringing Up Bebe
. It’s a story of an American journalist/author who moved to France with her husband and realized how different her daughter acted compared to the French kids. One night in a restaurant, she was amazed to see all the French children sitting patiently, waiting for their meal, while her two-year-old daughter screams hysterically and throws food around the table. She then dedicated herself to uncovering the techniques and tactics French parents use on their children from birth to toddlerhood that enable them to raise kids less stressfully than most American families. I’m currently on Chapter 5 and can’t put the book down from all the eye-opening learnings I’ve imbibed.
In other news, we still have no name
for The Misty Daughter
! That’s why you can see in one of the photos we browsed through a book for baby names. It’s so hard to decide on a name when everyone else seems to have their opinion on it. “Why that?!
“, “But that name sounds like a fat girl’s!
“, “It doesn’t sound nice..
” We plan on just deciding on a name and not telling anyone about it until we’ve signed it on her hospital records and it’s a done deal. Didn’t think naming our baby would be this stressful!
Lastly, in the photos above, I’m only wearing concealer, eyebrow pencil and lipstick! I’ve been using a skincare system my husband bought me last month and I must share that I am surprised with the results — it allows me to not wear foundation at all because of how clear and smooth it makes my skin. Will share it with you on the next post!
