Lioele Water Drop Aqua BB Cream

Ladies! My first beauty product on spotlight – the Water Drop Aqua BB Cream. One of the few BB creams I have come to love and depend on when I’m not feeling that full-makeup mode kind of day. I have tried a few BB creams before – from the MAC Prep + Prime Beauty Balm, Face Shop’s Powder Perfection BB cream to the Maybelline 8-in-1 BB cream. I have not raved about any of the above-mentioned products until I tried this one. Koreans definitely know how to make the perfect BB cream!

Excuse the dirt all over. It just proves to be an essential part of my everyday beauty kit.

Let’s start things off with Lioele’s claims (as gathered from their website) for this product:
  • Light cooling BB Cream that acts like a moisturizer.
  • When applied, it forms tiny water droplets which are immediately absorbed into your skin.
  • The SPF 27 PA++ protects your skin from further sun damage and Aloe Vera helps lock in the moisture to prevent dryness.
  • Contains various botanical extracts which ultimately help in keeping your skin moist and your complexion healthy, while also helping in controlling oil and providing light to medium coverage.

Shade: Lioele BB comes in only one shade (as far as I know) and I believe it best suits Filipina skin! The BB is slightly darker than the more popular BB creams and has yellow undertones. (I’m an NC35 complexion)

Consistency: This goes on the skin very smoothly and you can feel the watery tiny droplets the product claims it forms. It’s very fluidly and blends into the skin easily, with little effort. I apply half-a-peso sized amount and it already covers my entire face. For some reason, after applying this – I feel refreshed as if I’ve just washed my face with cleanser. I also have to point out its moisturizing feature that adds another check to their claims.

Coverage: Now this is where some users get disappointed, but I’ve managed to understand why. I’ve used this BB cream on both times – good skin days & bad skin days. When I was in the good skin days aka seemingly no pimples, blemishes or any major skin problems, the comments I received were beyond marvelous – I was glowing, radiant, etc etc. But during the times I’ve had some pimples – on my forehead specifically – the BB wasn’t so helpful. It has light – sheer coverage yet buildable without looking too cakey. However, it can not hide blemishes, pimples or acne.

Finish: Natural, glowing and dewy semi-matte finish if there is such a thing! I love that when it dries, it becomes a bit matte but still leaving the face looking hydrated. I have combination skin so I do get oily on my T-zone but with this, I only need to apply a small amount of loose or translucent powder and I’m set for the day without needing retouch.

Using the Lioele BB Aqua Water Drop BB Cream + Sexy Mama Translucent Powder. Fixed my eyebrows too but that’s all!

Price: Around P700

Will I repurchase? Yes! Definitely a must for my good skin days and when I feel lazy yet want to be fresh-looking!

I was actually considering trying this BB Cream so I’m glad you like it! One of my favorite BB Creams is Skin79’s Super VIP Gold. It gives a natural dewy finish with light to medium coverage. Asian BB Creams are way better than the American ones.
